We, the working members of the project has come up with the new name named Bhutan Kidney Association(BKA).

Tashi Namgay: Thimphu, Bhutan; Escaping from the life threatening experience of kidney failure, I started showing intense interest and commitment in starting this non-governmental organization project- Bhutan Kidney Association. I am a Kidney Transplant Recipient since 12th April 2006. When I was in the jaw of death, I experienced that everything was coming to an end. Fortunately, I found the matching kidney donor which rescued my life from untimely death. I thank the donor so much, and also steady support from my Aunt, Dema and other kind hearted people. Now I live healthy life and married to a beautiful wife. From then, I realized the sufferings of the kidney patients and I committed to work and serve sick people to save their lives. Today there are more than 75 kidney patients undergoing dialysis in the country with rapid increase in numbers yearly. Citizens are at high risk..! I urge all to check your kidneys on time.
