Patients Guest House, JDWNR Hospital, Thimphu
The Patient's Guest House at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH) was established by HRH Ashi Kesang Wangmo Wangchuck in 2008. The noble objective of this initiative is to provide shelter and three square meals to those patients referred from other districts who are financially disadvantaged and do not have any kith or kin to look after them in the capital.

Most  patients in the Guest House are patients suffering from chronic renal failure, blood cancer, paralysis, asthma, and ailments related to old age.

While the Guest House has come as a blessing in disguise, patients living there face numerous problems everyday like lack of proper counseling, improper kitchen, poor hygiene, and lack of money to purchse medicines not available at the hospital. Food and cloth

Many of the patients are in their last stage. We request all kind hearted and compassionate Bhutanese to contribute to their welfare. They need facilities like seperate kicthens, television for entertainment, good clothing to stay warm and in door games to keep them engaged.

Lets come together to cast a smile on their faces!
